More things about my Father.
He was really tight with his money and hated nick-knacks, but one Christmas he bought himself a present. (In addition to all of those tins of Danish Butter Cookies)
He bought a snow-globe with Santa Claus and a Snowman inside. When you push a button it plays Silent Night and blows the snow… You don’t even have to shake it.
Apparently he used to sit there and just push the button...

A Holiday Abroad: Part One.
The mid-day sun woke me with a gentle reminder that I am to journey abroad tomorrow. I searched in vain for my maid as I needed her to tidy the room, pack my bags, and lay out my traveling clothes. I fear she has been taken by the plague. Or vampires. Either way I shall have to release her from her duties and hire someone else.
I feel terribly remiss as many of my garments seem to need...
